The Voice of the Plantation People Organization organized a media discussion today in commemoration of Land Day, focusing on the key issues faced by the Malaiyaha Tamil community in the Southern and Western provinces. The discussion highlighted critical concerns including land and housing challenges, education, wage disparities, and the necessary steps the government should take to address these issues.
Representatives of the Malaiyaha community from the Matara, Galle, and Kalutara districts, along with the staff of the Voice of the Plantation People Organization, actively participated in the event.
