On 17th July 2025, the Voice of the Plantation People Organization (VOPP) brought together 30 Malaiyaha youth representatives—10 each from Matara, Galle, and Kalutara districts—where they officially formed a Youth Coalition to strengthen youth leadership and collective action. During the gathering, participants engaged in meaningful discussions on the pressing challenges faced by the Malaiyaha community, including land and housing issues, access to education, vocational training opportunities, and other basic needs. The youth also reflected on their responsibilities in driving social change within their communities.
A future action plan was developed, prioritizing key issues such as land, housing, and education, to guide the coalition’s work. In addition, office bearers were elected to lead and coordinate the activities of the newly formed Youth Coalition. The program was facilitated by Anthony Jesudasan (Executive Director), Lavina Hasanthi (Program Director), Anton Wanaththaiya (Field Manager), and K. Yogasuji (Kalutara District Coordinator). The event took place at the Caritas Sed Galle Hall in Galle.

වතුකරයේ ජනතා හඬ සංවිධානය -VOPP,2025.07.17 දින මාතර, ගාල්ල සහ කළුතර දිස්ත්රික්කවලින් තෝරාගත් මලෛයහ තරුණ නියෝජිතයින් එක්රැස් කර තරුණ සන්ධානයක් පිහිටුවා ගත්තේය. රැස්වීම අතරතුර, තරුණ තරුණයින් තම ප්රජාව මුහුණ දෙන අභියෝග පිළිබඳව සාකච්ඡා කළ අතර සමාජ වෙනසක් ඇති කිරීමේදී ඔවුන්ගේ වගකීම් පිළිබඳ ගැඹුරු අවබෝධයක් වර්ධනය කර ගත්හ. ඉඩම්, නිවාස සහ අධ්යාපනය වැනි ප්රධාන කරුණු කෙරෙහි අවධානය යොමු කරමින් අනාගත ක්රියාකාරී සැලැස්මක් ද සකස් කරන ලදී. තවද, තරුණ සන්ධානයේ ක්රියාකාරකම් මෙහෙයවීම සහ සම්බන්ධීකරණය කිරීම සඳහා නිලධාරී මණ්ඩලයක් තෝරා පත් කර ගන්නා ලදී.
