The Voice of the Plantation People Organization (VOPP) successfully conducted a leadership training program for the students of WP/KL Coulden Tamil Maha Vidyalaya in Mathugama, Kalutara. The session helped students understand the value of leadership and inspired them to think about how they can actively contribute to the development of the Malaiyaha community.
All students participated very actively and expressed their eagerness to take initiatives for the betterment of their community. The training workshop was facilitated by Anthony Jesudasan – Executive Director, with the support of Lavina Hasanthi – Program Director and K. Yogasuji – District Coordinator.
At the conclusion of the program, VOPP presented certificates of appreciation to all participants in recognition of their engagement and enthusiasm. Students also shared their experiences by submitting articles reflecting on what they learned during the training.
VOPP thanks the Principal and Vice Principal for their strong support in making this training a success. VOPP also extends gratitude to VIRIDDHI and UNOPS for their generous support, and thanks all students and teachers for their active participation and commitment to empowering the Malaiyaha community.
