The first training in our leadership series for marginalized Malaiyaha students was successfully held on November 23, 2024, at GA/Diviturai Tamil Maha Vidyalaya. The program, designed for students in grades 9 through 12, was a collaboration with the school and was a resounding success. Students actively participated in sessions covering key topics: the importance of education, leadership, social responsibility, and peace. Their enthusiastic engagement and shared experiences made the day both inspiring and truly effective.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to VRIDDHI, UNOPS, and the Government of Australia for their invaluable support, without which this program would not have been possible.
A special note of appreciation goes to the school principal, Mr. Jeevaraj, and the dedicated teachers for their full cooperation. The training was facilitated by our Executive Director, Anthony Jesudasan, who served as a resource person. He was supported by Lavina Hasanthi, Program Director, Franzis Raajan, National Program Officer, and A. Jesman, District Coordinator.
