The Voice of the Plantation People Organization successfully conducted the first session of its leadership training series for marginalized Malaiyaha students on 23 November 2024 at GA/Diviturai Tamil Maha Vidyalaya, with the participation of students from Grades 9 to 12.
Training Content: The sessions focused on the Importance of Education, Leadership, Social Responsibility, and Peace. Students engaged actively throughout the program, sharing their experiences and insights, which made the training both inspiring and interactive.
The program was facilitated by Anthony Jesudasan, Executive Director of VOPP, who served as the resource person, with the support of Lavina Hasanthi (Program Director), Franzis Rajan (National Program Officer), Anton Wanaththaiya (Field Manager), S. Sadasivam (Field Advisor), and A. Jesman (District Coordinator).
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to VRIDDHI, UNOPS, and the Government of Australia for their invaluable support in making this training program possible.
